Schools use a diverse set of ICT tools to communicate, create, disseminate, store, and manage information. In my senior high school, ICT has become integral to the teaching-learning interaction through such approaches as replacing chalkboards with interactive digital whiteboards, using students’ own smartphones or other devices for learning during class time, and the “flipped classroom” model, where students watch lectures at home on the computer and use classroom time for more interactive exercises. All of the activities and assignments were completed using textbooks as a guide back then. Finding the correct information was a tremendous pain back then. But now, we have access to online resources.

During my grade school, our teacher would require us to form a line to join in the flag ceremony and the singing of the national anthem. But now in senior high school, the singing of the national anthem is seldom done. If there is, I'm sure it will be done in a virtual conference/meeting.

Before, we used to write our summaries and notes in our notebooks, but now we can easily capture our notes or download/share them, and we can write our text on a computer or mobile device using Microsoft Word.

Manila papers and Cartolina are usually the common visual aids way back in grade school. Compared to now in senior high school, it is very easy for teachers and students to present their visual aids through PowerPoint Presentation with the aid of Zoom or Google Meet's features such as Share Screen.

The teacher would typically use a manual class record book to record students' grades. However, grades can now be easily recorded using E-class records or Excel.

In grade school, we are instructed to fall in line, and we get dismissed one by one. But now in senior high school, we get dismissed when the teacher says "Goodbye class!" on the screen, and then everyone would reply "Goodbye Ma'am/Sir".

Today, ICT brings many benefits to the younger generation especially for students. For example, some of the students who work part-time also can find some time to do their class works. In addition, most of the time students like to use word processing from the computer itself. It is also quick and easy to edit their work and improve their presentation by using ICT. ICT is provided for the students to have quick and easy ways in doing research, and to train society. It has a great impact for students to have an easier way for research and information compared to the earlier period. For example without ICT student have to go to the library to collect or gather information. It is not only a waste of time but also there is a limit to the information they can get. And now, ICT is saving time in doing the work and there is no limit to the information which they seek.
